Hands-on PLC Programming and Testing at Texawave
My internship experience at Texawave was focused on the automation layout of the Espin Nano Machine. Working closely with senior hardware engineers, I translated flow diagrams into PLC ladder logic, integrating stepper motors and high-voltage sensors.
Key Learnings
- Configuring Modbus communication protocols between the PLC and HMI screens.
- Debugging signal noise issues on the high-voltage electrospinning nozzle lines.
- Writing safety interlock routines to instantly cut voltage if the machine casing is opened.
The fast-paced engineering culture at Texawave taught me how to move rapidly from simulation models to working factory floors.
